@pickledginger Curious if you know about Honors…was there a place to show interest in Honors on the Pitt app? My daughter did her app and submitted so I never saw what was asked. I know she’s interested, but she didn’t mention that there were any separate honors essays etc. Just curious if you know, she said she doesn’t recall anything.
Hi everyone, I commented last night that I was seeing the “no application pending” line under my admissions tab, but now that has changed into two separate accept and decline buttons with the school and term I applied for. I am wondering what this means for me now. Hoping for the best right now, and I wish you all the best who are applying/whose children are applying.
Congrats to all that have been accepted !! Can those that have been accepted please provide more details about what you saw on line prior to acceptance???
@hailtopitt1787 Got accepted into the School of Arts and Sciences but wanted to go into engineering. I selected it as a guarantee program but must not have realized I needed to apply to Swenson. Is there anything I can do to switch over or will I have to wait until the spring semester?
I submitted my application late August and just got my acceptance email for Dietrich today! So excited to have received my first acceptance from the University of Pittsburgh- Hail Pitt! Best of luck to all with the application process.
@AmyBeth68 Hi, I’m not sure if you got a response yet, but your D will be notified of her qualification for Pitt’s Honors College following her admission based upon the following requirements, as there are no separate essays that exist: “we are looking for a combined SAT math and critical reading score of 1450 or a 32 ACT composite, an ‘A’ average in a challenging high school curriculum, and a top 5% class rank (if applicable).” (Source: the website of Pitt’s Honors College)
@AmyBeth68, there was not any separate information requested of applicants for the Honors Program, but I was confused and thinking that an invitation or notification of honors eligibility might arrive with acceptance. Apparently, that happens later . . .
Does anyone know what order they are reviewing applications? D applied for Arts and Sciences August 7th or 8th and mobile app still shows no pending applications.
