@hailtopitt1787 Thanks for the clarification on merit vs. financial aid timing.
For accepted students- did the accept/decline buttons show up a day or two before the email? They showed up on the app in my phone and I’m super super excited but I also don’t want to get my hopes up
Buttons appeared on Monday then email Weds and envelope Monday. Very exciting to see the buttons!
@nursing2022 Congratulations! Please can you advise when you applied to the nursing program? My D applied middle of August still no word yet. She called to check status and has been told her application is still under committee review. Stilling hoping her buttons will change!
I sent in my application on September 26th. I think they got back to me so fast because I had sent them my ACT scores early August, so they already had a file made up for me and waived my application fee. Good luck to you and your daughter!
@nursing2022 Thank you! Best of luck to you!
Hello @daffyduck414,
I’ve copied and pasted detailed instructions from the “Help” link within the application:
On My Academic Record tab, select Enter Coursework link and (if prompted) select the high school (not college) where you were enrolled while taking the college courses.
Then select Core Coursework. (If you already did core coursework entry then select the academic year (e.g., 2014-15) you took the course(s) under the Additional Coursework section by clicking on the corresponding black/green arrow.
Select Dual Enrollment from the Course Level drop-down list to identify these courses.
Additionally, if you have not done so already, list the college at which you took Dual Enrollment courses by clicking on the Add Another School button under the My Academic Record, Enter High School/College link, and follow the instructions to list your college attendance information.
Best,

hi! i know it is kind of early to be talking about this, but does anyone know of successful bargaining in order to get a higher scholarship? thanks!
@hailtopitt1787 I applied to Pitt on September 18th through the Coalition Application. Will my decision take longer because of this? I’ve noticed people on this thread are hearing back in a matter of days. Thanks in advance!
@basketball84267, No, it should not take us longer to review a Coalition application. It typically takes 3-4 weeks for us to review an application once it is complete - so you should hear back from us fairly soon!

@hailtopitt1787 Hello! If an applicant is not offered a spot in the Nursing Program will I be notified by e-mail or regular mail? Any idea when I would be notified?
@nursingmom2022, Those who are not selected for admission will be notified via letter. We typically try to turn admissions decisions around within a month, though it can take a little longer if you applied at the very beginning of the admissions cycle because our volume is very high (late July-early September).
Best of luck!

@hailtopitt1787 Thank you for your quick response!
@hailtopitt1787 , I submitted my application through coalition on 9/29. Today, it showed up on the online application website with a tab to enter the SRAR. I entered the SRAR and submitted it. I called up the admissions to verify, but they said they don’t see SRAR. What am I missing ? It is so confusing. Can you please help? BTW,I have not yet received the email from the technology Helpdesk with a link to activate the applicant account. Please guide me.
@bsms2018, How soon did you call after entering the SRAR? If you called very shortly after, it could just be that the system had not yet updated for us to see it. I would recommend checking back in another business day or so.
It takes about 72 business hours for the Technology Help Desk email to come through, so it may be that they just have not had enough time to get it to you yet.
Best of luck,
A Pitt Admissions Staffer
Thank you so much for such a quick response. You are just wonderful. I will check back with admissions after a day or two.
So for people in this mobile app accept/decline button dilemma: I went to the Pitt Passport online (not the Mobile App, the actual website!) and because the buttons don’t show up there, I searched “Accept Admissions” in the search bar, and a link came up that said Accept Admission, I clicked on it, and it was the same box that shows up when you click Application Status under Student Center, but there was a message above it that said “we are pleased to offer you admission to the following programs…” and then at the end of the box there is the accept/decline button. Has anyone else discovered this? If your in the same boat as me (got the buttons, no email or letter) try this out and see what it says.
Hi, I submitted my application to the Coalition app this morning, (10/3), but never got an email inviting me to fill out the SRAR. What should I do? I have my official transcripts being electronically sent already, but I know that the SRAR is preferred. Can you please help me with that?
@hailtopitt1787 My S17 applied in very early August and was accepted to Dietrich very early in the process (mid-sept).
He’s very excited but will also be taking the ACT one last time. Provided the scores are sent directly, will the early October ACT scores make it in time for consideration for the first batches of financial aid packages?
My daughter submitted her app yesterday - just wondering how long it takes to receive confirmation that it was recieved? She wants to follow up to make sure there was no problem in the submission.
