Hello I am having trouble selecting between the University of Pittsburgh and UCSD. I was hoping for an outsiders perspective. I’ll be taking finance as a major at both colleges. I live on the east coast so Pitt is financially a much cheaper choice for me.With all costs considered UCSD is roughly 40,000 more that Pitt. I’m ok with taking out student loans and also moving to the other side of the country but I’m wondering if it’s worth it. I was wondering what school I should commit to based on all aspects in particular things such as the alumni network and schools that pay you back.
Pitt. Does UCSD even have a finance major?
UCSD is a great school but not worth $40K more each year than UPitt. Also UCSD does not have a finance major or even a school of business. Save your money and attend UPitt. If you want to come to California, then consider applying for jobs on the West Coast after you graduate. Also as a student, you cannot take our $40K in loans unless your parents are willing to help out with Parent plus loans. No school is worth that kind of debt.
