@momoffive no your first assumption is correct, the presidential scholarship is $17K, only 1/3 off of tuition not room and board. It’s a pretty helpful scholarship regardless, and combined with financial aid, it appears much more generous.
@momoffive - $17k is a fabulous scholarship for a great school such as Richmond. Congrats!
@momoffive $17k a year is a big deal, especially for Richmond. My brother went there and unfortunately did not receive any FA or scholarships, so my parents ended up paying the full tuition and board for all 4 years. Not only that , but it is a great honor to receive a Presidential Scholarship! My brother was devastated when he did not get one lol. Congrats to your daughter or son!
Hey everyone, I got my mailed acceptance today!!! I am also a Science Scholar, so heard back from them a few weeks ago through email. I think this is the official letter for everyone!
My son received his admission packet as well. (Boatwright Scholar). He is in Cuba on spring break. I wonder if he would be mad if I open it
@acke0815 don’t open it. he’ll be mad
I got my Boatwright packet today too!
Congratulations @PeregrineFlute @margaret1332 and to you and your son @acke0815 ! Does anyone know when Richmond sent out the mailed acceptances?? And whether it was the same time for everyone or just the Richmond Scholars first?
Congrats to everyone! Very exciting! Are you going to accepted student day? I think it’s either 4/3, 10 or 25 maybe.
@pinkspider17 The letter is dated March 8. The same date as his email notification
@cloudysmom my guess would be either the 15th or 22nd. I’m a transfer student who applied and they told me it would be after transfer decisions were released (slated to be on April 15th, but will probably be earlier like RD normally is), so that both freshmen and transfers could attend!
Actually @cloudysmom is correct on all three counts! It looks like the most official Experience Richmond is on April 22, but they are also hosting events on the 3rd and the 10th as alternate dates.
Scholars are slated to go for the April 3rd visit date. I hope I see everyone there
@PeregrineFlute oh interesting! Where did you find/hear this? I didn’t see the site updated for this year’s yet, but I could have skipped over it.
@PeregrineFlute Thanks! On my D’s acceptance it just listed these 3 dates, it didn’t differentiate, where did you read that there’s a difference? I can’t find anything on their website, including the admitted student site or the new spiders site. I think we’re trying to go the 10th, but maybe it’s better the 22nd? D has study prep for AP tests the end of April do not a great date. I can’t seem to find any info…where did you see it? Thanks!
If I haven’t received a letter yet am I most likely going to receive bad news!!??!
The ‘manage/set up direct deposit’ link is now gone. Hope that is not bad news…
My ‘manage/set up direct deposit’ link is also gone.
Yeah same
I didn’t think decisions were coming out till the last week of march. I think it’s just scholars who are hearing now.
The manage/set up direct deposit link is gone for me too, but I’ve been admitted so I’m sure it doesn’t mean anything.
