Hello everyone! I am currently a sophomore at my current institution (Montgomery College) and am looking to transfer to the University of Richmond for fall 2016. I am in the honors program at Montgomery College and have a 3.57 GPA. I have taken a rigorous course load while being heavily involved on campus.My extracurricular activities include being President of Phi Theta Kappa, Vice President of the Renaissance Scholars Society (the club for the honors program), First Year Experience Student Ambassador, a mentor for a number of high school and college students (many of minority descent) and writer for the school’s newspaper. In addition, this past summer, I was selected from the honors program to be a research intern at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. So, all in all, I would like to know if anyone out there may please “chance me” as the University of Richmond is my number one choice. Any feed back is welcomed! Thank you!

You have a good resume and and decent GPA… I think you would have a strong chance of being admitted as a transfer, and UR does meet 100% of demonstrated need(as calculated by UR using the CSS profile) if you are admitted.
So I have submitted my application! Ahh! I am nervous but it is in! Anyone else out there want to share their stats and stuff please be my guest! I am all ears! And best of luck to all of you!
any idea when letters will be mailed?? RD found out over a week early
@ninadasiy @hershey789 was this Regular Decision or transfer??
Accepted @Urich2019 (as a transfer)
@intergrity23 if you don’t mind me asking what were some of your stats? also was it a mailed letter?
Yes they were mailed out on 3/25 and received today in an envelope. No financial aid package or anything yet simply acceptance letter.
High School- 4.4 Weighted
College Freshman (VCU)- 3.8
SAT- 2130
@intergrity23 did the letter mention anything about the # of people that applied or # accepted?
No sir. I saw pictures of the RD applicants and it said over 10,000 applied for a class of 800, but my letter did not include any numbers. I know typically they accept around 50 out of 300+. I would just keep a look out in the mail in the next few days. Good luck
Congrats to all of those accepted!
I was waitlisted, lol.
@Poloman123 what were your stats?
@Poloman123 Nevermind see them above
@Poloman123 @hershey789 @intergrity23 did y’all apply out of high school too?
@Urich2019 i just got an acceptance letter in the mail, for transfer.
@intergrity23 do you know when we get a financial aid package? 60k is too much without anything
@Urich2019
College GPA- 3.87, 4.0 midyear report
High School- 3.64 (UW)
SAT- not submitted
@Urich2019 No. What were your stats
@hershey789 No I haven’t received any financial aid packets yet. I’m hoping we’ll get all that in a week or two otherwise I’ll email asking. Absolutely no way I accept without knowing how much I’d have to pay.
