i got my financial aid package!
Hi @hershey789 ! How do you feel about your financial aid package? What was the postmark?
Hi @Curious52681, I feel pretty good about it. I will be paying about 10k a semester, which is less than what I pay currently. what is a postmark?
@hershey789 A postmark is the date when the mail was sent. I’m glad you’re happy with your financial aid package. I’m hoping that the same will happen to me too.
@Curious52681 the letter is dated April 8, 2016. I called them when i first got my acceptance and they told me to call the office if I did not get anything until april 15th.
@hershey789 Thank you for letting me know!
Got my financial aid package today. I’m really happy with the amount of aid I got!
Good for you @Curious52681 ! So is Richmond your number one?
@Poloman123 Yup! Richmond has given me the most aid (out of all my transfer schools), and I like their programs so it’s my first choice. How about you? How’s your transfer process coming along?
Alright! That is great to hear @Curious52681 ! I am glad to hear that your #1 is also generous with your financial aid package as well! WOO! In addition, my transfer process is going well!I have been accepted to two and wait listed to one (Richmond, my #1) but still hopeful!
I am still waiting to hear from a few more schools very soon.
hi! when did you guys send in your midyear reports? i sent mine in on april 6… and i’m freaking out over decisions because some came out before i even sent in my report! thank you
@jixijga I sent in my midyear report pretty early (around Feb. 10). As long as you turned in your financial aid application and Common App before the priority deadlines, you should be fine. However, you should call admissions & ask them about your decision if you haven’t gotten an acceptance/rejection letter.
Thank you for letting me know! I think i might wait it out before i ask. I do not think I can handle hearing a decision over the phone! thank you. @Curious52681
same with me @jixijga i submitted mine mid march but they didn’t get it until recently apparently. i can’t help but think that because they accepted people before looking at my mid semester grades that they probably rejected me. it was a reach for me… i hate waiting for snail mail and don’t want someone to tell me i didn’t get in over the phone!
hi! i just got my acceptance today and i am super excited… my gpa was not that great and my midterm grades are meh. @tulane201516 good luck to you. my acceptance letter was dated april 12!
@jixijga what school are you coming from/what was your gpa??
@tulane201516 my gpa is a 3.266 or 3.27 and I’m coming from Fordham.
high school: 3.0
midyear gpa: probably a high 2. something
@jixijga oh wow! my college stats are pretty similar. did you have anything to make you stand out (extracurriculars, strong essay, etc.) ??
@tulane201516 I’m proud of my essay, but I do not really have an extracurriculars at college at all. The only thing i put on common app was past jobs but most of them were just part time work for money, no internship or volunteer work listed.
someone should make a transfer-specific FB group if anyone has questions or wants to look for another transfer to live with you could post in there!
