is anybody else still waiting for a decision?
Yes i currently am i’m worried though
@Spider1122 same - have you reached out to admissions?
I called earlier this week but they said I should receive something this week
@Spider1122 is it a reach for you?? I’m nervous that a later decision notification implies waitlist or rejection
I feel the same way and this is the only school I am applying to. I go to VCU and have a 4.0 with a midyear of about 3.6-7.
@Spider1122 oh you definitely have a really great chance! my grades were not that strong - did you have strong high school grades, too?
they were okay
Does anyone know if the housing process is different for transfers and freshmen?
is anyone still waiting for a financial aid package?
is there any way to find other transfers or sophomores to live with next year or are we most likely going to be with a freshmen? @jixijga I got mine about 2 weeks ago, I suggest calling if you still haven’t heard anything
What do you think we’re the strong points of your application? Were you involved in any extracurricular activities? Your essay?
Thanks.
Actually you just answered my questions with post#58.
For your essay(s) what did you write about for both the CommonApp and supplemental for Richmond?
I wrote about how my current school had a good program in my original interest, but my interests change. Also for the UR supp I wrote about spiders and students. (I reused my supp from last year) @TPark1196
Did all of you apply for housing yet? it still says my account is invalid.
Same here, it’s not letting me open the housing portal. Does your StarRez Portal keep saying like, “Either your session has timed out or you are not currently logged in. Please follow https://bannerweb.richmond.edu to log in” each time you try to log in? I have frustratingly refreshed and restarted this process of trying to login and open the housing portal with the instructions it gives us way too many times to count by this point, so I’m just going to call the housing office on Monday and ask them directly.
Unless someone in this thread figured out another alternative way to apply or knows what I’m doing incorrectly?
Hey guys,
I am currently a rising college sophomore looking to send out an application to richmond for the spring 2017 semester. I finished my freshman year with exactly a 3.5 gpa. My high school grades are a bit lower then this (3.3 freshman, sophmore, junior and a 3.0 senior year) but I have done plentiful extracurriculars both in my high school years and my freshman year at college. my sat score for CR/Math is a 1160 but I don’t think I am going to send that lower score in. I am extremely active in campus ministry at my college, I drive the vans to get students to community service at off campus locations and also am employed as a student worker for them. During my freshman year of college I was also a part of our schools business and management club, residence hall committee, and have voulenteered at several on campus events. I played varsity soccer and tennis during my high school years while having a steady 15 hour per week job during the academic year and a 30 hour per week job in the summer. What are my chances of being accepted to richmond as a spring transfer student? Should I stick out another full year to try and bring my grades up more? Or should I apply as a spring applicant being that I hear it is typically slightly easier to get in as a spring transfer student. Thanks for all of your help.
@jixijga @TPark1196 does anyone have any info on housing for next year??
What do you think made the admissions officers put you on the waitlist? You had very good stats.
