We know we said this week, but it’s looking like next week. We are working as hard as we can to get these decisions right and out the door. Thank you for your patience.
oh my god this is giving me so much anxiety
U of R, why you gotta be so RUDE?
As hard as it is to wait for a decision, it is still early when there are schools who won’t release theirs until the very end of March. However, I am disappointed with how they say they will be ready and then push it off now 3 weeks in a row.
This is not very serious
@Houner it was not a disrespect to you, I assumed if I read it that way others did too and wanted to clarify, I was just trying to help
As a parent whose child has applied and who has been following this thread, I just have to say that what is going on here is not normal. This is our second child through the admissions process and I have never seen such a mess about letting people know when their decisions will be released. Every other selective university/college our daughters have applied to has specified a date and stuck to that plan. What has happened here now for three solid weeks has generated a lot of unnecessary anxiety about the timing of notiication. I hope they consider a new strategy for the future.
It’s honestly ridiculous I agree, but worrying about it too much isn’t gonna make them release decisions any sooner
For now, we’ll just wait and see and hope for the best
Yeah, @MaryKTX … my D is none the wiser, being disinterested in the world of CC and assuming the rest of her decisions won’t start rolling in for another week at least… but this is quite the roller coaster for many. As @JAGmom said, they’re certainly under no obligation to release this early. Promising an exact date would be nice, but they’re not even obligated to do that. It’s the repeated social media teasers and postponements that seem unprofessional to me. The UR Admissions staff is extremely personable and communicative, which is nice for the most part, but this level of “transparency” (giving them benefit of the doubt that it’s not a deliberate mind game) isn’t really helpful.
I agree that the social media teasers are the primary problem. I don’t think the postings are intended to harm, but I can see the serious anxiety they are generating.
To be honest, I haven’t felt any anxiety, I just feel tired after waiting for three weeks for a decision
This is ridiculous. Its one thing if they said its March 30th and release it then. They keep saying that it’s here its this week and keep pushing them. Urgh I’m done with waiting.
How can you possibly estimate that decisions are coming out THREE WEEKS earlier than reality… The admissions staff must stare at the wall all day…
I feel for you all. Unless they offer full scholarship I don’t think my S will go to U of R, but I am watching this tread for last couple of weeks.
Well, at least @teddyh already has a full tuition now!
@teddyh wait really?! congrats!! when did you get the notification?
I think that he is talking about the bet, right?
@neuromaniac @scch99 Yes, I’m talking about the bet hehe
