D just turned down UoR. Could not justify the price tag (the most expensive of all her admission offers) for the value. I know and respect the institution, but I have to agree with her. Looking now primarily at CWRU, NYU, UCSD.

Sounds like a wise decision. She will do well anywhere. It’s more important what students make of their experiences and opportunities at a school than what school they attend. Her other options are all strong choices, too.

U of Rochester is now offering on campus, outdoor visits to admitted students. The admissions office will (has?) sent emails to admitted students with a link to register.

NYU yes, and that is the reason why we turned down Rochester.
CWRU gave my daughter $26k/yr merit scholarship.
