University of San Diego 2023

Son was admitted via portal. It was tricky to find as he had to use toolbar on left to see admission status, and then it said “Congratulations on being admitted”. I perceive this to mean that a formal announcement will be coming soon.

I am still in review. Sounds like Honor admits are coming out first? I can never make sense of each schools random practice!

BTW, Congrats everyone!!!

@kitty72 I think they are releasing high-stats students acceptances first

Decision letters are going out this week and financial aid awards should be on the portal in about 7-10 days.

Does the decision show in the announcement section? My daughter and I couldn’t find anything. Maybe it just means a decision has not been made. She does not have the stats of some of you whom have posted.

We don’t have those stats either. It’s going to take a few weeks they said to roll out admissions. They said there was NO order but it appears from the stats being posted they are sending out honors first. Good luck!

@JBSeattle, I sent you a DM.

Just checked my financial aid status and saw that I was “awarded financial aid which totals $21,000.” I’m assuming this is a scholarship? Super excited!!!

My daughter was admitted! She checked the WebPortal and then I called admissions to clarify if what we were seeing was correct. I was told they are ‘stuffing the admissions envelopes tomorrow’ and mailing them on Friday so people should be receiving them next week but in order to do that they need to post it on the WebPortal first.

On the left
The blue column:

Admitted

When she clicks ‘Applicant’ and then the middle column says ‘Application Status’ and she clicked ‘more info’ it still says “Committee review”. BUT when she clicks the ‘Admitted’ it says “Congratulations! Now that you’ve been admitted, we’re sure you have many questions about what happens next…”

Awarded 21k Trustee Scholarship!!

@kh8501 where did you find the merit scholarships?

@hermom1 go to the admitted tab, scroll to financial aid status, click on that and select 19-20 academic year

I was awarded 21K/year trustee too! Is that the most they give? Also, does anyone know if it is possible for me to appeal my financial aid need level? They are claiming that I have no need based on some assets of my parents, but that is so not true.

There is only one above Trustee, the Alcala. It’s 25,000 annually

@CollegeAhead @kh8501 Do you know if the admissions decision and the merit scholarship were posted at the same time or was there some lag time between the two? My D has the admissions part but nothing under financial aid so I’m assuming that means she did not get a merit scholarship offer?

@hermom1 there was a delay About 24 hours

Anyone still waiting?

I got trustee too! I was admitted yesterday but my merit aid didn’t have any information earlier today but it updated recently so it might just be delayed for some people.

still nothing
