Are applicants still waiting for admissions decisions at USD? Thxs

I don’t think so. If your portal doesn’t say anything, check your email and spam folder from March 8. They said all decisions were released that day.

Went to new student admit day on Saturday. During the opening presentation they said they received over 16,000 applications for a class of 1,100 students. I’m not as smart as my daughter, but that seems like a pretty low acceptance rate. They also said the largest number of applicants in the history of the University!

You need to remember depending upon their yield, that they may accept 4 to 5 times as many applicants as the target number of Freshman enrolled.

These were last year’s numbers:

FIRST-YEAR STUDENT ADMISSIONS
Total applicants 14,334
Accepted by USD 7,542
Enrolled fall semester 1,234
53% admit rate.
16% Yield rate

Thank you! It was confusing to figure out. I wish they had given the number accepted vs the class size.

Has anyone heard from the waitlist? Thx!
