University of South Carolina- Admissions

I’m a HS junior and I have a 3.1 gpa weighed, Would I have any chances of getting accepted into USC?

If you live in South Carolina, I suppose there’s a chance, but only a slight one. Only 1% of students have an unweighted GPA below 3.0. In order of importance, USC ranked GPA as #1, Course Rigor as #2, and then test scores.

If your Weighted GPA is 3.1, that means your unweighted is below a 3.0. That’s a HUGE problem.

If you live in S Carolina, then your first source if guidance should be your HS guid counselor who has actual experience with successful applicants to USC – but given what CaliCash said, your guid counselor is also best situated to make alternative suggestions of colleges where others of your similar academic achievement have successfully applied.

His chances are terrible, unless he maxed out the SAT/ACT.
