@yoda13 same…I got excited that someone may have looked at his application, but I presume that @201five is correct.
Thanks for the replies guys. I figured it didn’t mean much. Wishful thinking!
@UT2324 “I would assume they are considered completely separately. I doubt they are given preference, and I do not think the decision to withdraw would affect the other twin.”
Turns out you were right, thank you. My twin that UT it was her first choice, was accepted into McCombs on Friday, and the other twin is still waiting for her ED at her other school. We didn’t expect the McCombs decision this early since we are OOS so fortunately it does seem to have worked out for her. Now let’s hope it works out for the other one, or that she hears in the next batch about UT, although she applied to CNS.
Was accepted into McCombs on Friday! Thought I would share my stats, because I did not apply honors (and it seems mostly everyone else that was accepted already did apply honors?)
OOS, Top 10% 3.975 UW GPA, 1460 SAT, 8 AP Classes (Two 5s and Two 3s on exams I have taken thus far), Pretty good ECs and Leadership positions.
I have to say I was very surprised when I was accepted! Good Luck to those who have not heard back yet!
Am I wrong, or have we not seen any COLA non auto-admit acceptances yet?
@yoda13 Someone I know got into government as a non aa yesterday
I have seen very few COLA or Moody admissions.
D17 was accepted to McCombs on Friday, in-state non-Auto admit, top 10% competitive high school, 3.98 GPA, 1510 SAT. Very good ECs with leadership, was pleasantly surprised to hear so early waiting on P2 and LAH…
Applied OOS, Biochem, and applied Honors, so not AA. 1560 SAT, 4.0 UW 4.5 W, tons of ECs (advanced choir, varsity softball, paid job, volunteering for the environment). Do you think they’ll release again next Fri? Chances?
Last year, on this particular Monday, there were some Plan II offers extended via status update - not much else until this coming Friday version of last years calendar - there were a wave of releases then …
Hi - How do they let applicants know there’s been a decision? Do they just have to keep checking the portal or do they get some kind of email alert? (Applying OOS if it matters.)
@mimicat You can keep checking the portal, or within 24 hours after they post on the portal, they do seem to send an email. So if you’re not checking the portal, you will know via email anyway the next day.
I was accepted to Moody on Friday, though I was AA and applied early.
Let everyone know if anyone gets notified today of acceptance please …
So I heard from someone who applied last year that there was another big wave on Friday (which would be this Friday this year). Is anyone able to confirm this?
Son accepted to McCombs late Friday night, OOS, 35 ACT, 800 SAT IIs, high grades and strong sports and leadership, etc. No BHP email about phone interview yet.
If you read all postings you will see that I posted the dates from last year that tracked every Friday up until and including the Friday before Christmas …
and they have followed that pattern this year too …
I found out on Saturday and was accepted OOS! 1520 SAT, 4.62 GPA, 3 varsity sports, 7 honors societies
@CyberSec11 the wave Friday was bigger than any of the fall waves last year, I think. New admissions director so No way to know what is going to happen. Hoping for another wave this Friday but who knows.
