by the end of the day on Friday all priority applicants will have their decision
Yeah @Corbu1 architecture and fine arts still have to send decisions
has anyone heard back from education? i applied before november 1 and haven’t heard anything. if anyone has heard anything let me know… nervous.
@emood27 To speak on behalf of Liberal Arts Honors as I have mostly only seen talk of Plan II in this forum, I applied to LAH and was accepted on the same day that I was admitted to UT. But, like @UTWannabe23 stated, I don’t think there is a set pattern for honors admissions.
@hideawaypizza a lot of OOS applicants are still waiting to hear.
Thank you good to know-but where can I find info on dorms? or any recommendations?

UT housing goes fast. There are also private dorms very near to campus like Dobie.
OOS engr. still hearing crickets. DD is half way through the all decision wait.
i didn’t apply priority so I would assume I will not get my decision by Friday. The only reason I am asking is I saw someone say they applied on December 1st and already got their decision.
@1TakeIncgognito - your hear by date is actually 3/1.
@pumadad What are your daughter’s stats for nursing? Was she auto admit?
I was accepted as an undeclared major in CNS, does anyone know how to go about declaring a major? Should I have applied to a specific major instead of undeclared? Will I have a difficult time getting into a major like biology or neuroscience once at UT?
Does anyone know when UT begins releasing decisions for international applicants?
last year did the last wave of priority decisions come out on the night of Jan 31 or were they not released until the day of Feb 1?
Does anyone know when Dean’s Scholars honors are announced? We received an acceptance on the 18th to CNS Biochemistry (OOS), but no update yet on the honors program.
@mltmom My daughter was auto admit. She was top 4% with 1380 SAT, 660 math 720 ela, 4.25 weighted, 3.87 unweighted. Her school ranks on 100 point scale and her score was 98.25. She had lots of EC’s, multi-year varsity athlete, select softball, medical endorsement, future medical professional club, summer internship in medical office, summer mission.
Have found out more about the Nursing Guarantee Program by calling UT. It is such a new program not many of the admissions people understand it completely. 2018 was the first year for the program. The School of Nursing said the program was started due to the limited number of nursing spots. They take the next 50-60 that they wanted to take but couldn’t due to space and they put them on a 4.5 year BSN program. This group, along with the limited internal and external transfers become a spring cohort…based on my understanding and questioning of admissions. They spend 3 semesters in CNS. If they meet all the requirements of the program they transfer to the School of Nursing in the Spring of their Sophomore year. Once in the School of Nursing they complete their BSN over the next three years (6 semesters).
@collegemom111111 - CNS is releasing honors decisions in waves, with the last batch done by 2/15.
@collegemom111111 ooh I hope you’re right . I just got off the phone with someone in CNS (who then asked), and they said decisions for CNS honors could be up to late March. I hope it’s sooner!
@atxmomof2 @dogwood18 Thanks! I guess we’ll see… Do either of you know how many Dean’s honors recipients there are? I’m trying to assess the liklihood. Thanks!
I read in another post that they usually take around 80 students for Dean’s scholar and from that, 40 would commit to the school.
