Anyone know when the next wave of CNS admits is?
My daughter’s friend was accepted today, his Major is Music. He was top 11% with only a 25 on the ACT. But he had a tryout to get in the Longhorn band so he must have hit that out of the park.
The admissions office isn’t working on the weekends but that’s not going to stop me from checking MyStatus five times a day over the next two days.
I really hope their standards for the retail merchandising major are a bit lower so my average scores will stand a chance 
Anyone accepted as Undeclared? I’ve been freaking out. I’m OOS, ranked 2/470, and had a 32 ACT & 1910 SAT. I included a lot of my unique ECs (Latin Honor Society/Junior Classical League & even started a club), did a ton of community service, and worked as well. What do you think?
I had a question. How different are the CS and the Computer Engineering departments at UT Austin? At many colleges, I have found that Computer Science deals with the software part, while Computer Engineering covers most of the CS course and also deals with the hardware part. How true is this for UT Austin? And how good is the Computer Engineering department at UT Austin?
@michaelite CS and ECE are two completely different majors. If you look on their respective websites, you’ll find their course catalog and curriculum are barely the same. This is sort of evidenced by the fact that CS is in CNS while ECE is in Cockrell. They are both fantastic top 10 programs.
I was accepted into McCombs a few days ago and got into the Business Honors Program this morning! I’m so excited man…hook 'em!

Does anyone know when the last date for admissions to come out will be? I replied OOS to the school of architecture and my application still says ‘in review’.

I was accepted this week as a BFA Acting major! I’m honestly really surprised I got in since I’m nowhere near the top 7%…but still. Super excited!
@skdoss I believe that February 27 is the final day for decisions. At least that’s what someone on cc told me

Just got an email from admission counselor regarding a question I asked…she responded that all decisions will be out by March 1
I’m betting that there will be a huge wave of admission decisions on the 20th/21st
