Has anyone heard anything from that natural sciences honors program?
@khaleesi16 waiting on the same. Do you by any chance know the average stats for Turing/Deans scholar program?
@PCMguy , all I could find was that the average CS admit had a 1939 SAT, but I’m sure it’s higher for honors.
Still waiting for Nat Sci honors as well as CS admission decision. Does anyone have more info about how that Academic Index works for CS? When I plug my ACT & class rank into the formula, and add 0.1 for rigorous courseload, I get an AI of 4.04 – which I thought would put me in the “A” group (admit without looking at Personal Index). But I’ve been “in review” since late Oct. Maybe the process is different for CS versus other Nat Sci?

Hi everybody, I was just deferred from University of Miami and UT is my second choice so I’m super nervous for the decisions to be released. 3.79 W, 2150 SAT, attending one of the best public high schools in my state. I don’t have as many extracurriculars as I should, but I think my essays were strong. Can anyone tell me if I have a chance with these stats? Applied to College of Arts and Sciences as a psychology major. Here’s hoping we all hear back soon

I got my email confirming that UT received my fafsa information but in order to check it online I’ve got to upgrade my EID. On the website they say they normally do this during orientation but you can call and send all this paper work to update it. How does this all work?

@Austinwannabe I’d use the engineering formula for CS. CNS put me at 4.218 which is a little ridiculous. Engineering went to 3.83 (Of course I’m an auto admit so I’m sure it doesn’t apply to me)
@DogShelter, that makes sense to me. I’m also about 3.8 with the engr formula. So good luck to us both! (I’m not auto-admit.)

@nigelnofriends I was deferred from Miami as well! ANDD I applied to UT as a psychology major. I am OOS and still waiting to hear my decision. SO SO anxious…
@BellaBean2 Hopefully we both hear good news soon then! I feel like Miami is unlikely to give merit aid to deferred students even if we are accepted second round, so if I get into UT I’ll probably be attending. Maybe we’ll see each other there! Haha
I am so nervous about UT and the fact that my decision could come at any time… I hope I find out today.
