i know a few OOS people who were admitted in december/january. i haven’t heard anything recently, though.
@somemoosery I got in out of state a little over one week ago.
What if any significance is there to the March 1st date? I saw a reference earlier to March 1 and something about can sign a contract?
I think UT said the last date was March 1st. Or something like that
To what school?
any liberal arts? It worried me late decision mean rejection!
@ayyemichelle I got into CS at CNS and Plan II
Last year my son received a “sorry, you were not admitted, but we would like to offer you the CAP program.” I do not know if they will change that this year, but we did get that offer when they updated his status. The letter came later in the mail.
UTD was a CAP school for I think 2 years, but opted out. The CAP program hurts the schools…because when you look at a “graduation rate” and the incoming Freshman class includes 500 CAP students, and those students leave the 2nd year for Austin…it automatically drops their “overall graduation rate” that parents and students and everyone else judges a university on…which is not the case, technically, but it still hurts the CAP school.
The MyStatus website is down for me right now! It says it is currently unavailable for maintenance
System is down for me as well on My Status. It says:

They could be uploading decisions…!
Same here.
I think there is a power outage on campus. Look at the utexas home page.
UT is saying they have a campus-wide power outage. So if that is the case, it’s not uploading decisions, it’s just a power outage. Sigh.
Sorry guys but there is a power outage at the university which was reported on Facebook. Probably not uploading decisions…
Obviously down because they’re loading my son’s big, fat acceptance and massive scholarship.
May I take this moment to protest the idiotic way UT sends out acceptances? The reason we’re all waiting on the edge of our seats is because they don’t adopt the sensible policy of announcing all decisions on a single, publicized date. Just for the fun of torturing people, they let them out gradually, so everybody has to wake up every day thinking “This could be the day.” Truly, what gives? If it’s not pure sadism, it may be something even worse. They’ve calculated that putting everyone on the edge of their seats for months increases excitement about UT and improves their enrollment rate. The horrible thing is that we (in my house) have fallen for it!
Then why is the home page working ?
@TSip2000 what schools was he offered for cap?
Status page back online. Nothing has changed.
