My daughter is totally freaking about this! She also browsed twitter, to find that the UT Austin admissions staff stated it was a design they were undergoing… I’m still a bit skeptical about their response, because perhaps we may get our decisions today!

I think this entire process is so backwards. I don’t know of another school my S applied too that gives decisions in drips and drabs like this. Give a date and be done!

Hey guys, checking in with some news! My uncle works for the admissions office and he told me 30 minutes ago that decisions were coming out today! Good luck!

@collegeplease123 Most likely 5 PM central, as that’s when the admissions office closes.

So I’m going to put into words what everything is thinking… If you have a play button on MyStatus, maybe that’s a sign that you’ve been accepted to UT?? It actually makes sense IF decisions are really going to be out today.Maybe the design update story is just to throw everyone off track. It’s not like Admissions would tell you that’s the first sign of your UT acceptance.
Or the play button is just a decision. Maybe it doesn’t mean acceptance or Rejection. @FloMoMom I’m hoping it’s what you are saying.
I keep thinking of the tricks that American Idol plays when releasing decisions - step to the front of the stage - ooh that must be a good sign ----- and then - backline is through to the next round - frontline is going home…
