@Brandacus, an email didn’t come until about 5 hours after my son was accepted to Cockrell today, so you’ll need to keep checking. Also, while everyone was talking about the green checkmark changing to a gray “play” button early this morning, I noticed another change to my son’s account early this morning. On the “Dashboard” tab, under “Fall 2015 Freshman Admission,” it stated “Majors: Mechanical Engineering”. Previously, his first/second choice majors could only been seen from the “Admission” tab. Not sure if others noticed this change prior to their decision coming out. Good luck to you.
@Brandacus, I sure hope you are right! After I read your post, I checked my son’s dashboard, and the “unspecified business” major is listed. However, I unfortunately cannot say with certainty that it wasn’t there before, but I really don’t think it was!

@lee6666 I also have my first choice listed under there. I probably shouldn’t get my hopes up, but I want to believe! My app was completed in January, so maybe that’s why it’s taking a while. I speculate mine is taking a while because I’m being considered strongly. I have a lowish GPA but strong EC’s and very strong letters of recommendation.
Is there any possibility we could hear tomorrow?

@texasjayhawk Thanks. Well It’s 10:15 am here. I was waiting for it last night I was up until 1 am , but didn’t get the decision. They sent me an email saying that I should check MyStatus at 9:30 am. So i guess it should’ve been updated like half an hour earlier. So If I were you I would just go to bed. It’s really hard, but if you’re really sleepy go to bed.

I am an accepted Physics student too! Yay!! haha So the “Thursday Night Claim” wasn’t a hoax… Cheers folks! To those fo you rejected: it’s obviously not the end of the world. I’ve read about people who were rejected to UT but accepted to Yale. Every college views people different.
