which one is more prestigious and has better academics?

UCSB. I dont really think of University of the Pacific is a comparable institution to UCSB.

UCSB, bar-none

UCSB unless you want to become a Pharmacist.

UCSB, without a doubt. =]

anyone know about Stockton then? I heard its boring out there and pretty warm (dont really like hot weather)

.............................

well UoP is well known for its pharmacy/dental programs
but unless its those two, i suggest UCSB

Stockton is fricking horrendous. I'm not exaggerating at all - a hot, dry, smoggy, dusty, crime-ridden, armpit of a city. It even makes Molesto, I mean Modesto, seem nice by comparison.

Stockton sucks.

Dude, UCSB without a doubt.

unless you get into their accelerated dental program

having visited both...we liked U o P as far as the school itself...but Santa Barbara is a wonderful, almost sleepy, breezy SoCal beach town...and Stockton is...well, I think Art V is probably right...

I mean, the heat might not be that bad in Stockton during the school year...I don't know about smog...so if you don't mind a little heat and don't care about beachtown quaintness you mind not mind Stockton too much. can you visit?
