My D wants to study Chemical Engineering. She has the scores to be competitive at a number of schools, however, reality being what it is, we will not be able to send her to many of them unless there are substantial financial aid awards. I told her that she would have to pick one in-state public school for her financial safety. She chose the University of Toledo over Ohio State (too big), Akron(didn't visit), Ohio University(party reputation), the University of Cincinnati(too much concrete) and Miami University(too close to home and ChemE program is relatively new). A coop program is very important to her and Toledo's is mandatory. I was wondering if there were any Toledo engineering students or graduates out there and what you feel about the quality of education you received? From what little I've been able to gleen, the school is a rolling admit school whose reputation is that typical of a rolling admissions school but whose engineering and pharmacy programs are better regarded. Any opinions?
