Update: My daughter got into the Honors College today! A letter just arrived! (32ACT, 3.9 u/w, 4.1 w)
Consider that the base cost for umass is about 8k cheaper than UVM.
Not sure if your post was in reply to my post, but I assume so. Yes, base cost of Umass is cheaper than UVM but UVM gave us a total package of over $37,000 vs $23,000 that Umass gave so the final out of pocket is over $6,000 cheaper for us.
Did anyone get email that their FAFSA was received and that they can contact Student Fin Services? Wondering if they sent this to all or to those who are admitted (but wont hear until the 23rd??)
@momtofourkids: Yes, both my daughter and I received emails concerning FAFSA information and how to receive it on her admission portal. Just checked - nothing yet, but still reads that admission decision will be released on 2/23.

Did you guys get student emails that had your general @gmail or whatever you use or a @uvm.com bc I remember with early action people who got accepted had .uvm
@funwiththesun - how so? If it was emailed to their @gmail that would be the address.
One way of finding out tonight - I think - take your UVM Student ID number that was sent with you FAFSA info the other day and put that in your NETID address (for NETID setup) then put in student birthdate. It took us to a page that said “Welcome…as a newly admitted student you need to change you ID” looked like we were in

@newenglandjane - I know, I wont either until 5 tomorrow BUT I did try that two days ago and it did not work. I tried it this morning and it worked…
What format for date? mmddyyyy? I don’t want to lock it in any way trying various combinations. thx
hit the “new admited student” then it asks you for the date with month date year format
Thanks–I was trying the standard net id login and it wasn’t working. My daughter appears to be in–I got to the “As a new admitted student” page as well. Great work-around. 
But I’ll keep it quiet until she checks tomorrow.
Does anyone know if this is truly accurate? Did anyone not get in using this back door?
Hey everyone! I just wanted to chime in to the convo. I got in EA to UVM and the accepted students are some of the nicest people ever. Our group chat is so friendly and lively and there’s so much love and appreciation for one another. Although I’ve not committed anywhere, the people who have also been accepted have made me want to go even more.
On behalf of the already accepted students, we can’t wait for you guys to join our crazy and fun little group!

Yes! My son got accepted for the college of Nursing…now the wait for FA and merit but Hooray!! Good luck to all its a great school.
