Thanks!

Wow, you have really good stats! You’ll probably get in, your EC’s and test scores are really good and you seem like a well-rounded student! If you’re in-state, i would be surprised if you didn’t get in, but if you were out of state, i’d say you still have a REALLY good shot of gettting in! I say this because i think they’re required to admit 80% students in-state (correct me if i’m wrong on the number). Good luck! :)

P.S. I’m applying there too! Yo, we might be classmates one day haha

Wow thanks! You really think so? I am also a first gen college student btw if it helps my chances!

^UVA is required to admit 2/3 in-state students. However, 2/3 of their applications are from out-of-state and international. There overall admit rate is ~30% but there OOS/international admit rate is <20%.

UVa is one of the most competitive public universities in the US. The previous posts are correct regarding the in state/oos ratio. This makes oos admits much tougher. Overall, students receiving admits have a 4.1 and a SAT close to 2100. Engineering students need to have SAT/SAT2 Math scores on the higher end (I assume this is where you are headed based on your EC’s). If you are not signed up, consider taking the SATs & Math 2 again in the fall and try to pull your scores up over 700.

The great news is UVa uses a holistic admissions policy where numbers do not rule, and LORs, ECs, & essays are very important. Make sure you have this part of your application polished nicely. Try to show who you are as an individual. It looks like you have some great experiences to draw on.

Best of luck!!

^^Thanks for the tips… actually I am considering doing accounting or political science…
