“So tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you…”
Two more schools for D to hear from and then a scramble for final re-visit to top picks before May1 deadlines. This new terrain of EA, ED, deferrals, to RD. So many kids already know and have their dorm mates all lined up. I’m trying to be empathetic toward the admissions officials at colleges these days -how to weed through the applicants make the right offers,anticipate acceptances,build the next clas? D deferred by several schools, including UVA, for which her stats (Solid GPA in tough curriculum,strong ACT, academic awards),EC’s (Girl Scout Silver & Gold, 1st kid at her school to do VASTS program with NASA, + more…), gorgeous 100% self inspired & written essay - all that supposedly should have put her on solid ground. I’m proud of the grace & resilience she’s exhibited through this senior year roller coaster.

I’m not allowed to say who told me! But a mother of a friend works in a lower department of UVA admissions
She told be the day Early decisions came out too.

As much as I am inclined to not believe anyone saying decisions are coming out today, @gizmo18 did actually call the EA date back in January. So, I guess I’ll just be cautiously optimistic
what time are we expecting then?

@tylerperez12 she usually releases a blog post around 2 notifying the release and the decisions are usually posted around 5

Agh I’m so nervous. I got deferred EA (I’m guessing primarily because of my lackluster Junior year grades), but I managed to turn in a mid-year report of all A’s in a tough course schedule, so we’ll see if that made any difference.
To all of those who got deferred EA, here’s hoping for GOOD NEWS for you guys!!! Good luck! My son is looking forward just to finding out and making a DECISION! Its been a long senior year. 
My son is also deferred EA and it has been a long senior year (yes for the parents too )… although cannot imagine how tough it has been for all the seniors waiting on this and other decisions. If it is today (seriously, the sooner the better), wishing everyone good luck!
