University of Virginia: Second Year Transfer from Community College

I’m applying to UVA as a second year transfer student in the fall of 2015 since I’m currently enrolled at a community college in Virginia. My high school final GPA is a 3.29. However, my SAT score is very low, which is a 1110. Never taken take the ACT. My community college GPA is currently a 3.64 with 6 classes (17 credits) total. All of them except a technology class (3 credit) are transferable. I’ve volunteered at a hospital by providing hospitality to patients in the ER. I also did 4 years of Navy JROTC (1 year as an company staff officer) at my previous high school. Was it are my chance of getting in?

Also, I would like to add that I’m applying for the College of Arts and Science to major in Biology and minor in astronomy.

Dual Enrollment (2012-2013:
ITN 101: B

1st Semester:

General Biology 1: A
College Composition 1: A
History of World Civilizations 1: A
College Success Skills: A
Precalculus 1: B

Can someone chance me please?

that’s my question too I plan on applying to community college out of state then transferring

I don’t think it is that good OP, as the high school GPA and SATs are way below what UVA is looking for.

hey john there is the community college guarantee transfer if you complete a certain amount of credits you should look into that

No guarantee transfer to UVA, which is a top school. CC grades not that spectacular to overcome high school record and scores. Might have shot at VPI or James Madison.
