University of Warwick (Politics and Sociology) or University of Toronto

Hi. I am deciding which to choose for my undergrad. I would like a little bit of guidance on both. I plan on doing my graduate studies from the UK.

Thank you in advance for your help

Are you from the UK or Canada? Are you applying for next year?

It’s impossible to offer any useful advice without more parameters or metrics. What do you see as the decision factors or pros/cons?

I’m from Pakistan.

Since both universities rank pretty much the same as far as the subject is concerned I want to choose the university that can give me a good university experience (location, research, good faculty etc) and has the better reputation generally. I plan on doing my graduate studies from the UK so that is a major concern as well. Whichever university gives me a better chance to study in the UK for my masters, doctorate would be preferred

Note that Canadian unis will offer some flexibility in terms of taking classes ouside your major and even switching majors vs. English unis. That’s probably the biggest difference (but a big one; few teeenagers actually know what they want to do even if they think so). 4 years vs. 3, though.
Also, at Warwick, your marks will mostly come from exams at the end of the year (and the first years don’t count, so only the second and third) while at Toronto, grades will come from not just the finals at the end of each module but midterms, essays, etc.

Your success will depend more on how well you do than which of these schools you go to, so choose the one that is a better fit or cheaper.
