Hi. I am deciding which to choose for my undergrad. Either way i’ll be studying politics. I plan on doing my graduate studies from the UK. Hoping to get into an LSE/Oxbridge program for my graduate degree. Which do you think is better for undergrad?
Thanks in advance for the help!
As you probably know, at Warwick, you would only study those subjects. No way to change majors. At Toronto, you would also have the freedom to take electives in other fields, but it’s 4 years vs. 3. This is actually a key point. Few teenagers actually know what they would like to do when they grow up, even if they think they do.
At Warwick, the exams are all at the end of the year and only the second and third year exams count. Almost all of the grades come from the final exams. At Toronto, grades could be made up of finals (at the end of a module) + other work like essays.
If that isn’t a concern, go with the cheaper option.
What citizenship do you have?
I’m from Pakistan.
Since both universities rank pretty much the same as far as the subject is concerned I want to choose the university that can give me a good university experience (location, research, good faculty etc) and has the better reputation generally. I plan on doing my graduate studies from the UK so that is a major concern as well. Whichever university gives me a better chance to study in the UK for my masters, doctorate would be preferred
I would think that a degree from the UK would be more beneficial to get into grad programs in the UK.
