@georgieboy The wait is so long! I’ll hear back from other schools first, but UW is my first choice.
@LeonorC I know the suspense is very real! It’s also my top school, but since most universities require you to put a deposit down by May 1 I’m going to have to do that just to make sure I go to college in the Fall! Best of luck let us know if you get any updates!
Have you guys all received your UW net ID email? I haven’t received mine yet but I think it’s because I submitted my application February 11? So fairly close to the deadline?
I sent my transcript on feb 14th and I got an email about netID last week. I think you need to contact office of admissions to get the netID
@beatrees I submitted my application a day before the deadline so it shouldn’t be that. From my understanding, you can set up your NetID without even getting the email. It should have instructions on how to set up your NetID on the university’s website! Anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

^Here’s the link to the school’s website. It says you’ll receive instructions in an email, but for me it sent me to this page, I clicked on the “create your netid” link and set it up there. Goodluck!
When are transcripts due ? Does anyone know
@georgieboy I made it! Thanks alot!
@90smix hey you also applied for UT as did I, what a coincidence
I set up my NET ID without the email in February. We won’t start hearing back til the end of April most likely but these next few weeks will go by soon
Just wondering if they start to release transfer decision from end April, how come the process will continue till July? Isn’t the number of transfer applicant way less than the freshman applicants?
Question: When I submitted my application, I wasn’t given an option to choose a 2nd choice major. But when I printed a pdf copy of my completed application, it says that I chose not to indicate a 2nd choice major… Did this mean I had a choice (I would have submitted a 2nd major option), or do I just disregard this part of the application form?
@LeonorC From what I can remember, there was indeed an option to indicate a second choice major. It was just under your first choice major option. I chose not to chose a second major, but I do recall there being an option to do so.
@georgieboy Thanks! I may just double check with admissions to see if I can add my second choice.
@LeonorC I was in the same situation as you and I called admissions about it! It depends if your major is in the college of letters and sciences because apparently they don’t allow you to have a second major, ik it sounds weird and I still don’t know why
I just received an email saying that I was accepted into my major! That doesn’t mean I was accepted into UW, but it’s a step in the right direction! I’m so relieved that if I do get into the school, I can continue in my intended studies.
@georgieboy OMG!!! Hey, Congratulations!!! You will be accepted into UW as well!!!
@boyomimi I really hope I will be accepted! And thank you I’m positive you will get in as well. Keep us updated!!!
@georgieboy WOW CONGRATULATIONS!!! But wait does that mean they’ve begun notifying their decisions already?
@LeonorC I don’t think they’ve started notifying admissions to the school. For my particular major, I sent in a separate application and they stated that I’d be told if I was accepted into my major in April. I’m not sure how it works for other majors. It did specify in the email that I would need to wait and see if I was admitted into the actually university itself. Hopefully we find out soon!
