University of Washington of Seattle choseing a major

How to pick the admission. Also, on my mail, there is a pre-physical sciences above my major slot. What does that mean? And how do I pick biology as a major? If so, what are the steps?

You just apply as a bio major in common app

You’d apply to the biology major after you have enrolled at UW. All spelled out on the website.

if the requirements are usually completed after the enrollment, then what would be the practical to enroll competitive course such as biology. Also, what are the experience of enrollment in competitive course? Thanks.

If you want to know how competitive a major is, your best source of information would be the specific department.

  1. Have a minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA for any supporting course work in Chemistry, Physics, Math, Biology or other courses intended for use in the Biology major that are complete at the time of application.

Are those the courses complete in high school, or as a undergraduate? Just asking.

In college. “At the time of application” means at the time you’re applying to major in biology, which would usually be in your second year in college.
