University of Washington OOS Scholarships

Does anyone know what types of scholarships are out there for OOS residents for the UW. I just got accepted to WSU with a $9,000 cougar academic award, so is there anything like that?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: 0.9% (48) of incoming freshmen without need receive a merit scholarship. The average amount is $4,790. I would guess that the majority are in-state students. Even if not, the top 1% of applicants is probably a pretty impressive group.

You’ve gotta ask yourself a question: “Do I feel lucky?” Well, do ya, punk?

I’m OOS and got a $6000 merit scholarship through the Business school as a freshman.

You can do it!!! (For mine, you just have to check on your application that your intended major is Business Administration. If/when you get into that, there’s a separate app for scholarships in April.)
