CHANCES? will chance back! (:

You should be ok…

Thanks!

Nice ACT score! If you took lots of dual credit/IB/honors classes that aren’t on here, that would definitely improve your chances. Overall, I think you have a decent chance of getting in, but you might want to apply to some safeties.

(a chance back would be great btw, good luck applying! )

Can you pay for it?

The hard part may be (a) paying for out-of-state UW, and (b) getting into the major of your choice.

@intparent yes, family yearly income ~>$150,000

@ucbalumnus do you know how competitive the business major is at Washington compared to other majors?

Here is the list of majors at Washington. It shows which majors are competitive.

Business Administration is competitive. These links will provide additional information about admission to the major.

Your ACT is great and probably would give you a shot at direct admission to Foster, but bear in mind that the average unweighted GPA of this year’s entering class at UW was closer to 3.8. Your upward trend in GPA should help your cause. If you get in but are not among the few who are directly admitted to Foster, your ACT indicates that you have the ability to gain regular admission after completing the prerequisites, provided you apply yourself to your studies.

Good luck!

Your ACT is awesome!! You should have an okay chance since your GPA has a significant upward trend. Plus the essay topic is good! You show a lot of potential. (a chance back would be awesome BTW)
Best wishes!

You have a good chance considering your act score, although your gpa is below average. If your essay is great this should help too. Good luck! help me out?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1826115-where-should-i-apply-intended-major-biology.html#latest
