Baffled and disappointed here too.
D22 was waitlisted…applied Nueroscience, OOS, 4.0 UW, 31 ACT, 8 APs, NHS Pres., Club Pres., >150 hrs community service, Natl Hispanic Scholar…what are they looking for?

S22 was rejected. OOS, computer science, 4.8 gpa, 4.0 unweighted, 1560 SAT, 35 ACT (not sure this matters if it’s test blind) 12 APs, dual sport athlete, NHS, additional hours for community service. That 3% OOS admit rate for CS is no joke. :woman_shrugging:t2:

Admitted for Environmental Science w/ P+G Scholarship ($5400/yr). Anyone know when Honors College decisions will be released?

Rejected :frowning:
OOS. Physics. 3.5 unweighted/4.3 weighted. 17 APs (all exams passed, with quite a few 4s and 5s). National Merit Finalist. 1560 SAT, 36 ACT. NHS. Two-sport varsity athlete. Active in robotics. Work & volunteer experience.

Collegevine had estimated UW as a safety with 85% chance of admission (although I think the unweighted GPA did not help his chances here). UW was not among his top choices, but we were hoping for good news here to help balance some other disappointments. Rough admissions cycle this year!

S22 accepted, OOS, premajor. 5.1 gpa, 3.95 unweighted, 32 ACT w/ P&G Scholarship ($3000/yr)

was hoping for business administration…is it worth it to appeal?

Neuroscience is a direct to major admit. But it seems like if pre-reds are not met then you are considered for a Pre-Science major.

Although not the choice of major, congrats!

Tip: Don’t be discouraged if you’re not admitted directly to one of these programs as a freshman. The majority of students come in as pre-majors and gain admission to these programs after satisfying prerequisites and meeting departmental admission requirements. The only exception is computer science and computer engineering.

Remember- UW Seattle is fundamentally test blind. Last cycle, they only looked at SAT or ACT scores to look at a few hundred students on the waitlist.

I was also admitted to Environmental Science! As for honors program, UW website says “If you are admitted, you should expect to receive a separate decision from the Honors Program between March 15th and April 12th.”

Has anybody not seen update yet, or all have been notified? Thanks

Where does he P&G scholarship notification appear? Is it supposed to be with the congratulations message if offered?

My D22 is at work all day- dying for her to get home to check. I will be grateful if all decisions were posted this early since we are OOS and will have to travel to see the school. Given the stats of people deferred- I am expecting a rejection- but will be happy to get a decision!

What percentage of waitlisted students get into UWash? Thanks!

In state, UW-4.0; IB Diplomo, 14 APs(mostly 5s few 4s), Research exp and other ECs. ACT-36 (doesn’t matter since test optional)
CS-Rejected; offered pre-science (we didn’t ask for)

Oops you’re right, pre-social science.

Also sounds like Honors notifications next week?
