University of Washington-Seattle Pre-engineering

I got in to Georgia Tech(undecided engineering), UCSD(undeclared school of engineering) and University of washington- seattle( pre-engineering)

I want to study Bioengineering.

I am confused about this Pre-Engineering status, and don’t understand it completely.

Can someone please elaborate on it?

How hard is it to get into Bioengineering since I didn’t get into it when I applied. Am I taking a risk by going to UW and waiting to see after a year if I can get into my desired major?

@ish123 This is waaaaay late, so I don’t know if you actually figured out about UW’s Bioengineering program, but I am also interested in applying for Bioengineering. I’ve been accepted to UW as pre-engineering with the intentions of applying to Bioengineering in the Spring. BIOE only accepts applicants for Spring quarter, so you’ll apply to the program by the Feb 1st deadline. Admission is competitive from what I’ve read, but I think you’re odds will be better if you’re already at the school, or if you can get involved in research somewhere and get letters of recommendation to add to your application. If you’ve still got prereqs to complete then it’s perfect to start at UW in the fall. Hope this helps! Maybe I’ll see you in class! :stuck_out_tongue:

has any pre engineering or electrical engineering applicants either had their transcripts updated or have been accepted yet? thanks
