University of Washington Seattle vs Purdue University vs Boston University (CS)

Hey guys!

I was wondering which college to choose out of these 3 in terms of overall prestige and stature, and also more specifically for my course (computer science). Money is not a factor here, but I greatly value job opportunities and internships. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Pls help

You have the order correct for each question.

Are you direct admit to the CS major at Washington? If not, be aware that it is highly competitive to be admitted to the CS major there.

If you are admitted to CS at Udub, then head to Seattle.

I want Computer engineering
Have been admitted into college of engineering. Not directly admitted; neither in Udub nor in Purdue.
what should i do?

Research it here, but that does throw in a wrinkle, as getting into Udud CS down the road can be very competitive …

UW is competitive, but if you have a GPA, SAT or ACT at or above the 75th percentile of the entering class and are serious about your studies, your chances of graduating with a coveted UW CS/CE degree are high.

UW campus is really putting together some incredible facilities and it has seamless opportunities to the tech industry, and if you can take a bit of rain, Seattle is really hard to beat…

I’d say UW is marginally more prestigious than Purdue, which is marginally more prestigious than Boston, but you’ll likely get the same education at all of them. And prestige isn’t a big deal in computer-related fields, anyway. You’ll get work based on what you know, not where you went to school.

UW’s and Boston’s advantage over Purdue would be that they’re in hubs for computer-related industries. They would offer easier access to internships and jobs.

I was admitted in pre-engineering. Would you recommend I still take up the offer or attend Purdue?
