Hey so i just applied to the university of Wyoming through their online website and something weird I thought came up. So it said I had paid for the application fee when I hadn’t and it also just required me to put in my sat scores and there wasn’t really any way of verification. Also there was no personal statement and it didn’t ask me to list my ec’s anywhere. Do any of u guys know what is going or could maybe give me some insight?
BTW this is the first university I have applied to and so it was my first application so I maybe be a bit naive on something maybe.
Wyoming waives the application fee when they first open up their applications. They do not ask for any written statements, ecs or recommendations. My recollection is you will still need to send them an official copy of your SAT scores. My s listed Wyo when he took the ACT so they already had his score. When he went and checked his account the other day the only item missing is his official HS transcript which will be sent when his school opens up in a week. Wyoming is an auto admit school if you have the minimum required grades and test scores. Long story short it has to do with their vision as a land grant university, their status as the only 4 yr public university in the state, their core mission to make a college education accessible and their belief that being exclusionary is antithetical to their educational mission. My h has a b.a. and JD from wyoming and received an excellent education with minimal debt.
