University of...?

So the University of Rochester appeals to me, I'm not really sure why. I have heard people say both good and bad things about it, but I think that's the same for just about everwhere. Anyway, I want to apply but not ED because I also have somewhere else in mind, and seeing as how I haven't really known about Rochester that long, I don't want to commit myself to it just yet.
So here are my stats:
GPA- 4.0 (unweighted) and about a 4.4? weighted (my school uses a different system)
ACT- 29 (ouch, but I'm retaking it, hoping for a 31 at least)
I've taken all the honors/advanced classes that interest me (not one of those people to take a class they hate just because it's AP or whatever)
I want to go into medicine, so I have taken Chem I and II (advanced and school has no AP), I will take Physics next year (advanced, again no AP), Biology, AP Biology next year, A&P (advanced), and I'm taking psychology next year as well.
I have taken a lot of math including Advanced lgebra, Statistics, Calc I, Calc II (next year), and Trig. (all dual credit, school has no APs)
I also took World History dual credit. (apparently my school thinks it is better than AP for some reason)
I am fairly fluent in German and Italian. Working on the French right now (only class that isn't advanced)

I'm in a lot of clubs, French, German, Young Governors, and NHS.
I have offices in two.
I volunteer four hours a week at the hospital doing just about everything.
I'm also in Speech and Debate.
I've also won countless awards and been to all kinds of camps for stuff like science and government.

I don't really know how selective the University is, but if it's too far out of my reach I want to know before I get my heart set on going there. Anyone's opinion would be great!

I think you can get into Rochester. If you get a 30+ on the ACT then you can definitely get into Rochester.
