<p>My daughter took US History as a junior and earned a B-. Does UCLA disregard + or - or will she be required to take another course to satisfy the requirement?</p>

<p>Are you talking about the A-G requirement for admission or the University American History and Institutions requirement for a bachelor’s degree?</p>
<p>She’s already been admitted as an early admit for class of 2016 - so I am talking about the American History and Institutions requirement for a bachelor’s degree which states</p>

<p>If the high school uses +/- grades on the transcript (most don’t), then I believe that a B- is not sufficient. But they need to average a “B” over the two semesters. So if she got at least a B+ in the other semester, then it will average out.</p>
<p>To be safe, I would just email the school. Out of curiosity, how did she get accepted through early admit? I thought UCLA didn’t do early admissions…</p>
<p>jafar, she’s an athletic recruit who got an early admit for Fall 2013. We’ll check in with the coach and academics as well, just trying to get a head start on what we need to know.</p>
