Unsure

Hey,
So I'm planning on taking Math 2 and US History for my SAT 2s. I was planning on taking Math 2 this June, when I basically finish my Pre-Calc course... However, this one Junior in my school told me that when she took it in June, she got a 750-something, but when she retook it in the fall, she got an 800, even though she thought she left about the same number blank and got about the same number wrong. She said that this same was true for a couple of the other kids who also took it with her. Is there any merit to this? Is the curve more generous in the fall than in June? I'm pretty good at math and I really want an 800...but I don't want to go into the room with a disadvantage. But if I take it in the fall, when will I get to study for the SAT 1? ugh...

Thanks for any help, everyone.

Every administration of a test should be fair across the board. So if you get an easy test, the curve will be lower than if you get a hard test. Therefore, the month you take something really shouldn’t matter. Maybe they did so much better because they already had experience taking it before.

Don’t choose a date based on the month (it’s the same thing!!) but rather on whether you’re ready.

Thanks! That’s what I originally thought. I guess that she just got less questions wrong.
