Uof IL, double major in two different school possible?

Hi, i am planning on applying to U of IL.

I have a question.
I want to major in accounting - so i apply to BUS.
But i also want to study economics.

Is it possible to major in two different school departments?

I always question if it was possible to double major at all at the school, seeing this thread sorta answers that question for me. I don’t know why but it seems like students accepted into buisness schools can double major just about anywhere.

To double major you would need to apply for acceptance into the program at the other college. That means if accepted into business, you would apply for acceptance into the economics major in LAS in your fourth semester for acceptance into junior year. Generally, it is easier to get accepted into a second major in LAS from another college than vice versa and business college generally does not accept double majors from the other colleges, meaning if you started in LAS the chances of then being accepted into a second major in business start of junior year are essentially zero.

so better apply to BUS first? lol

^
Yeah and then from there try to double major… but it really depends on what college you rather be in. If it’s buisness school ( which is more elite to get admitted) then apply there first, plus I’m sure you could turn down the buisness college for las.

I’ve also been wondering if it was possible to double major in two different schools, specifically the College of Media and LAS…
