I need some help with some general college questions!!

Hello all,
Im currently a first year community college attendee, after graduating high school this past year. I compelted 13 units my first semester, and am enrolled in 17 now, with hopes of applying to UCLA/USC for fall 2015. One of my good friends however told me about his acceptance to university of arizona, and how i should go attend the school with him for my sophomore year of community college, and transfer out to UCLA and make it for the fall 2015.

My question is how do i go about doing this lol? Do i simply take the remaining required classes for UCLA from my cc at UofA? Would it be plausible to go down this route? Thank you!

If you are a California resident, UA will be more expensive than a local California CC for the next year. Also, UCLA and USC have pre-written course articulation listings with California CCs ( http://www.assist.org and <a href=“USC-Articulation Agreement”>Error; respectively) but not UA, so you will know exactly what to take for UCLA and USC as your CC, but not at UA.

Transfer to UA if you want to complete your bachelor’s degree there and can afford it, but it does not make sense to transfer to UA with a plan of transferring again to UCLA or USC.

i know i know, and however dumb this may sound, i wanted to go to a school and have the time of my life, and then trasnfer to a school more known for its education

It would be far cheaper to catch a flight every weekend you wanted to party at Arizona with your friend than to actually transfer there for a year.Just book 30 days in advance at Southwest, and then cancel when you don’t want to go, transferring the money to the next set of flights.

Also, having the time of your life does not usually result in a successful transfer to USC/UCLA.

I’m pretty sure the University of Arizona isn’t a community college…?
