Can anyone tell me anything about either of them? I'm trying to decide between the two as a geology major. A past professor recommended BSU had good geology professors. I don't know anything about UofI. BSU aslo seems a little bit cheaper. Is one looked higher upon in the employment world?

Any advice academically?

No idea if either is more highly looked upon but i live here in boise and I have taken classes at BSU as a high schooler.
BSU has a bunch of pretty unique/expensive/complicated machines and stuff for geology research and is a pretty highly rated graduate program but I dont know that much about undergrad sorry.
But I do know that Colorado school of mines has a very good geology program...i think that is kinda their thing.

depending on how competitive you are I would look into big name schools....stanford i believe has a top notch program...as well as a lot of the other top schools

From what I've heard from a science teacher I had this year, BSU has a great Geology program (for Idaho). I don't thinkeither wouldbe looked uon higher. I've heard good and bad about both. U of I...University of Intoxication...BSU...BS Univerisity. I think both are petty eve.
