Has anyone had any experience with this learning community program or know of anyone who has been involved with it? Curious to know if my son should indicate that as first choice and then Honors housing second. I am familiar with Ann Arbor and know that Lloyd is on the Hill so it's a longer walk to classes but closer to the medical center.

I have a friend who is currently doing it, and she enjoyed it so much that she is signing on as a peer advisor next year. All her friends in the program are really close to her because the program tries to make the university smaller by hosting various events. I think one of the events is a trip to Cedar Point. I am sure your son would really enjoy that. Also, there is a special event for students to go to Chicago to help those with HIV. You also get a chance to shadow some physicians, so all of these events are really nice if your son is planning to do pre-health.
