Which do you think is a better choice?? Can't decide!!!

Is finance an issue? If it is than go to the IS school. Otherwise, even though I will have 1 at each school I would say UMDCP.

Also, the one issue is to realize college is about more than classes. Tech and CP are night and day differences not only in looks, but location. If you are a city person UMD is a better fit, if you are country than Tech is a better fit. Remember Sat and Sun you won’t be attending classes, you will be living.

Our DS took UMD because he loves being close to DC, our DD loves the mtns and the small town so she chose Tech.

Both are decent public schools… undergrad won’t matter (at least academically) because you’ll end up taking notes from a powerpoint in 300-person lecture halls either way. And if you’re looking for internships or research opportunities you should have no problem as long you work hard and are willing to go for it. I take the cheaper option or if cost is not a factor, visit each campus and go with the one you like best.
