Update MIT

I was just wondering, is it worth it to update MIT on an AMC score of possibly 118.5? This would be the highest I've ever scored, and I've never made AIME before. Thanks.

Congrats! Sure, I'd update. (I'll be administering the AMC exam the math team I coach in about an hour. I have two kids from my group already at MIT, and 3 applying now. I'm hoping for some scores as high as yours!)

thanks texas! A couple questions. Do I havta wait until official scores come out to update (I already applied RD)? Do you know when official results come out, and would it be too late to update then? How can I update them about my AMC score without actually having any proof? Thanks.

I think I got about a 112.5... shrugs

I thought it was easier this year than in previous years... But maybe I'm just getting better at it? The last 9 questions were beasts though.

What score would put you in the top 1% score in past years?

Excalibur - Official results will be out in a couple of weeks. Solutions will be posted soon (like tomorrow or the next day). If you have your answers, you could send in an "unofficial score" this week, and follow up with a confirmation when the official scores come out.

just doing an eyeball estimate of the numbers, looks like around 120-122.

Mm... How exactly would you "follow up with a confirmation"?

send one email now with your score, saying "unofficial". Then confirm it when your teacher gets the results from AMC by sending another email with the (probably) same score, saying "official".
