Everything’s great except the number of APs- Remember you’ll be competing with kids who have A-Peed all over themselves since they were sophomores. (I’ll assume you will have taken three total, since you didn’t mention your current courseload.) That said, I bet you’re in at Villanova and Bucknell. The rest are crapshoots, but you have as much of a chance as anyone.

Chances back?

bumppppppppppp

Just write killer essays. Your stats can’t get any better. Good luck!

Only 3 AP’s? With your SAT scores, colleges might wonder why you chose not to challenge yourself. Is that the average number of AP classes taken at your school? Did you take more and not take the AP test? Those are some important questions that need answers.

The OP probably took more APs but haven’t taken the AP test for them.

Let’s remember that applicants only have junior year AP scores to report

id say you have a very good chance, better than most. with scores like that u are sure to get their attention. i hope it works out for you!

The AP’s are only an issue if your school offers a lot and you just havent taken them. But seeing as your 2/234, I think youre fine in that category. That being said:

Johns Hopkins, Bucknell,Villanova,Carnegie Mellon: match
Yale (as undecided, just for kicks), MIT, Columbia, Cornell: Like its been said earlier, your stats couldnt be much better BUT with ivies + mit, its hard to say match because you just never know with some of these colleges. but if i had to guess, i would say you will get into at least three of these… best of luck!

Chance me back?

i wouldnt mind a chance back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/861966-chance-me-please-cmu-cornell-wvu-others.html</a> :)

My school has block scheduling, and requires everyone to take religion every year, and doesn’t let kids take AP courses until junior year. So the most AP courses anyone can graduate with is six. It’s pretty gay. That being said, I’ve taken the hardest APs available, and my guidance counselor has indicated that I’ve selected the most rigorous courseload possible, so I don’t think it should be too much of an issue?

Thanks everyone 8)

bump 10 char

You’re a solid candidate for any school you would apply to (even Harvard and Yale). Just make sure you come across in your essays!

Ya I know what you mean with the gay religion classes the same type of thing happened with two kids from my school last year but they went to Princeton and Yale so as long as they understand that religion limits your APs you should do fine.
