I was deferred a few weeks ago and i already sent them the updates of my ec's and stuff.
But i want to update my common app essay as well. for my RD schools, i wrote about basically the smae thing but changed it a bit so i think it is better and clearer.
Do you think they'll accept if i tell them i want to "CHANGE" and perhaps "UPDATE" rather than "HAND ANOTHER" commonapp essay?????????
Actually, i think they'll accept but how do you think theyll look at it?
Will they read both essays annoyed (since i'm handing 2x500word common app essays instead of 1x500 like everyone else) that this person didnt focus on her commonapp last time she handed it in? or will they just read my new one?

I don’t know about your common app essay but I think one of the best things you can do is to send admissions reps and directors handwritten letters which express continued interest. You might even want to call your rep and ask him/her if there is something that he might want you to elaborate on in an additional essay or personal statement. It is unorthodox, but it shows initiative. This approach worked for me.

Don’t forget though, you have not been wait-listed. This is just ND’s way of placing you in a pool where you can be most competitive.
