Updating forms

<p>I applied early decision to Brown University, which requires the CSS profile, so my parents and I had to estimate 2005 income, assets, etc. Also, I completed and submitted the FAFSA in early January, as I was told that doing to do so by my counselor.</p>

<p>Brown has a April 17 deadline for financial aid forms (signed tax returns and W-2s). Do I also need to go back and adjust the data in the CSS profile and FAFSA, then resend them?</p>

<p>You should update the FAFSA, but you don't need to update the Profile. However, even if you don't update the FAFSA, Brown will do it for you based on the 2005 return. That is, they understand that the info may be different than anticipated , and they have the ability to make corrections directly to the FAFSA. So I don't think there is really anything that you absolutely have to do beyond mailing the return.</p>
