I'm submitting my TAG and it says "once you have submitted your TAG application, you WILL NOT be able to update any information except your personal information until all TAG decisions are returned for the term to which you applied".

However I won't be sure of my fall courses until the term starts because I'm waitlisted in multiple classes. Does it matter if they change?

When you are completely sure of your classes, just withdraw the TAG, make the modifications, and then resubmit it. No harm done. Just make sure you do it before the September 30th deadline.

@raganarok, wait for TAG everything has to be planned right? I listed a course planned for spring but applied to another cc in case they have a winter sesh which is 50% they will have. I didnt say this on the tag aplic, is it still okay?

I forgot to include a one unit pass/no pass course of counseling?! I mean it’s a course that only transfers to CS universities not UC!!
I passes the class, but I couldn’t find it in course section of the planner!! so I didn’t add it since it wasn’t really important(to me)…but it is in my transcript
Is that really important?

bolandgoo, it is important to put those type of .5 - 1 unit pass/non-pass “intro to college” courses, and other courses with the same characteristics (like supplemental courses to full academic courses). Technically, UCs can reject a TAG (or application for that matter) if their are discrepancies from what the student reports and what the UC sees on the final transcript. Are UCs likely to end up telling you to not come join their student body because of a .5 or 1 unit pass/non-pass non-UC transferrable course? I suppose not, and I’m pretty sure students have left that off of their TAG/UCApp in the past with no problems, but my point is that they could make a stink about it.

The UC TAG workshop presenter at my CC made it a point to remind us to include the courses just like the one you described. Where did you apply for TAG? If it’s UCD or UCSC (or UCM, I believe), then a TAG reviewer at your CC will have the chance to view your TAG before it is sent to the UC. This is an opportunity for them to let you know if they see some type of error on your TAG that they think should be fixed before it is submitted to the UCs (They will NOT, however, look to determine TAG eligibility, only errors in your own reporting). If a reporting error is found, then they should release the TAG back to you, send you a message to correct and resubmit it. This only works if you send it to them with enough time to review and get back to you. So, submitting on the afternoon of the 29th is not ideal.

tl;dr: Your TAG and UCApp should be a direct reflection of your transcripts (with future terms set as “planned”, of course) because at the end of all your self reporting, the UCs will look at these final transcripts for reporting accuracy. Techinically they can reject you for not reporting your courses correctly, and I personally wouldn’t want to make that chance.

If you applied to UCSC, UCD, or UCM, then find out who is reviewing your TAG and let them know you want to take it back to make that change (so you don’t interrupt their reviewing) and resubmit before 9/30. Otherwise, just take your TAG back yourself and make the change to resubmit.

the Planned courses are another problem!
/i will have c++, calc 3 and one other course for Spring 2014…I really don’t want to take Discreet Math(major is computer science) at my community college(the teacher is awful as I’ve heard, hard to get A), but it’s a pre-req and advised course for UCSD(that’s where I want to go)!
I like to put that in my planned courses, (my application would look much better when they’re reviewing it in November), but don’t take it for spring and go with an easy GE…what do u think?
