What do you think?
My PSAT scores lie somewhere in the high 180 range.

Should I participate in more EC's? Feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time, and have a good day.

bump, please help me!

You don’t need more ECs. Though make sure you have a strong amount of leadership and community service. Grade wise you are fine, the big issue I see is your test scores. You want at least a 2100, 2200 would be ideal on the SAT.

ECs are just fine. 2200+ would be the ballpark for “reach-for-anyone” schools.

thanks-- will the b’s in my art electives damage my chance of getting in?

Your transcript eerily resembles mine… By chance, do you go to school in North Fulton County, Georgia?

You’re on track, so far. Keep your grades up and take the SAT seriously. Pretty much every school in the country disregards electives in admissions.

Unlikely. Most schools recalculate your GPA removing things like electives. Obviously it is not ideal (it is an art elective, you should be able to pull an A) and might lower your class rank. But it will probably have no impact on whether or not you will be accepted.

oh, and my test scores are indeed low…

ap gov- 4
ap world- 4
sat II world: 670

i’m just bad at test-taking. do these fours damage my chance?

if i take two sat II tests and score higher than the world one, will they see/consider the 670 during the application process?
