UPenn Class of 2018 ED Applicants

It sounds like it only is for faxed or mailed documents which is a relief because I e-mailed mine.

Hmm, ya I guess. It’s weird that the email is coming so late though (I’m pretty sure everything was mailed/faxed around nov. 3)… Did any one else recently receive this?

Babolat1;

My son received the second confirmation email today. We found you are also Coca-cola semi finalist. Which state are you from? We are PA.

Thanks,

Oh my god I’m going to be so relieved when this is over… Even if I’m rejected at least then I’ll be done worrying about every tiny thing

@loljk1123

Yep, I submitted an art supplement but I applied to Wharton.

As for the email, I haven’t received it yet. I faxed my forms in, but I must have faxed them in later than you guys. It’s weirder at this point because everyone seems to have gotten them now.

I’m from CT. Congrats to your son btw

Do any of you guys think that they haven’t received or processed my financial aid materials yet? I was never notified of their not receiving it… All they emailed me was that my SAT scores were missing, but I fixed that. I haven’t received the second confirmation email for my materials, and it’s making me nervous.

Um, it’s a possibility. Did you already receive an email from her earlier (like November)?

Babolat 1,

I forgot to ask if you updated your coca-cola semifinalist to Upenn. If yes, did you do it through email or regualar mail? We asked the interviewer if it is OK to send it and he said yes. My son forwarded the notification to admissions office and did not receive anything.

Thanks for quick reply,

Oh my god. I feel so dumb.

I guess I had checked my email so many times that I didn’t realize that I received the financial aid email in mid-November.

I am so sorry for spamming this thread. Excuse me while I go punch myself and my dog in the face.

jk about the last part

I honestly don’t know how I didn’t catch this earlier.

Uhhh, so have any of you guys entered the Scholastic Art & Writing competition yet? I entered for the senior portfolio part for visual arts.

Edit: Sharla wishes me much success in my educational endeavors… **psshhhh shucks. Who knew a mass email could be so sweet.

Email- I did not receive a reply either, but from what I’ve heard they don’t necessarily respond to updates. Instead, they will just add the update to the file.

Which school at Penn did your son apply to?

@babolat1 or @jack456

What did your first confirmation emails say? The same thing? (“acknowledges receipt of materials, etc.?”)

My son applies to Wharton. How about you?

The email is the same as the one babolat1 posted.

So wait you guys received two emails with the same exact things on different dates (early nov and december)?

Ya, same. It was likely a mistake on their side I’m guessing.

Wharton here as well.

@upsilon

I didn’t get the financial aid email twice, but I did get 2 emails in December reminding me to check my portal on the 16th.

Oh ok thanks. Babolat1 I thought you applied to LSM?

@iamoym Yeah me too, I thought the fact that they got the FA email twice meant something.

Ya, and Wharton as the second option

you people really need to stop trying to guess what that means. its a stupid waste of time and its taking up so much space on the forum, not to mention detracting from precious time you should be spending trying to get yourself ready for the possibility of rejection-- your first semester grades count. the result comes out in four days. just wait for it. do you want to recieve bad news early? do you want to get your hopes up thinking you got in bc of some stupid email only to see that you were rejected? do yourselves a favor and stop speculating.
